Expertise - Issue research

Challenge

To identify the key reputational issues facing this black and minority ethnic-led housing group ahead of a major internal and external relaunch.

Client: Ujima Housing Group

Programme

This project was completed under intense time pressure, with the project moving from sign-off to final presentation in under three weeks.

Agreed a list of target stakeholders from suppliers, to property developers and regulators through to the internal audiences, with a topic list to provide the basis for discussion.

Initial 'keystone' interviews to identify the areas of maximum potential learning.

Structured interviews to build a clear picture of external perceptions of Ujima.

Analysis and summary of interviews.

Presentation of full report, with 'anonymised' verbatim comments, to the management team and Board, key findings presented to all staff, followed by workshops and strategy sessions to create a robust action plan.

Outcome

Very rapid overview of key issues facing the company, allowing action to be taken quickly.

Proactive engagement of key stakeholders to address and resolve deeply-embedded issues.

CRC's work is helping us to understand what really matters to our customers and other stakeholders, to identify where we need to focus our efforts, and to target our resources effectively.

- Keith Kerr, Group Chief Executive, Ujima Housing Group.
